There’s a reason why building a six figure business online feels easy for some and not so much for others.
I myself scaled to six figures fairly quickly reaching my first six figures in business in just 14 months and I have helped dozens of my clients to achieve the six figure milestone much quicker.

So what did this client and so many of my other clients do to get such great results?
SPOILER ALERT: It’s not luck, it’s strategy.
Today I’m going to be spilling the secrets on what it takes to grow and scale your online business to six figures and beyond.
Did you know that the average 1 person business in the UK turns over £68,000 in a year?
So if you’ve not hit the six figure mark in business yet, you’re not alone. There are millions of other sole traders in a similar position.
YES, there’s a lot of success in the online space which might make you feel like you’re behind sometimes but I want to let you know that if you haven’t, it’s got nothing to do with other people being “better” than you, smarter than you, or even more skilled.
The online business owners who hit six figures don’t have a secret sauce, they’ve just done the basics – maybe that is the secret sauce.
So what are the foundations?
I cover all of these in depth in my totally free Six Figure Foundations Masterclass so you can finally know exactly what you need to start building a six figure business of your dreams.
In the meantime, I’m going to cover some of the key things here.
I’ve talked about this on pretty much every single post about how to start your online business or creating a content strategy that converts.
But it’s because this simple foundational element will influence the outcome of the entirety of your marketing strategy. If you don’t know your ideal client, their struggles, their desires, then how are you meant to connect with them on a deeper level in your content?
The answer is you can’t.
So it’s time to think about the kind of people you want to work with, the ones that light you up. Then you need to go and speak to them to learn more about how things are affecting their business on the day to day so you can create content that speaks to them.
Niches shouldn’t be chosen at random.
It’s not essential to niche down right at the beginning if you’re totally new to business. However, if you do have expertise in a particular field that you gained prior to becoming an online business owner, then this could steer you in the right direction.
Your niche needs to be profitable, but it also needs to relate to your skillset and the kind of industries you are interested in. For example, there’s no point in niching to the tech industry if you’re a complete technophobe. It won’t serve you OR your ideal clients.
Likewise, don’t pick a niche just because you’ve seen someone successful choose that niche. Picking something that aligns with you is your true ticket to freedom.
As my online coaching business has grown over the last few years, so has my offer suite.
Building a freedom based business is one of my core values and I now feel like my offer suite really aligns with those life goals.
My highest level of support is through my Freedom CEO Accelerator program, a hybrid coaching offer combining 1:1 and group mastermind support so people can build their own freedom based business too.
But people who are at an earlier stage in their business can join the Confident CEO Academy, which is designed for newer business owners just getting started.
If you’re not hitting six figures in your business, you likely have an issue with your offer suite. It’s probably a bit all over the place, might not feel aligned which in turn makes it difficult to sell.
Your offer suite, like mine, may evolve over time as you do and you learn more about how you want to run your business. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a strategic offer suite from the get go that serves your ideal client at all stages of their journey.
Your different offers should nicely graduate into one another so your dream clients can go on a complete journey, start to finish with you if they want.
And last but not least is your content. Because content is what SELLS for you.
Once you have nailed your niche, know your ideal clients and have a scalable offer suite, you’re ready to start selling it.
